AVP Scotland

AVP Scotland is a volunteer run and led charity offering workshops to those interested in reducing violence in their lives and their communities. We work with a broad range of people – including people who have been violent and victims of violence on the same workshop – and believe the best learning comes from each other. AVP facilitators are trained through joining the programme and working through the workshops themselves before training to facilitate. All our facilitators have experienced the workshops as participants and this brings a unique perspective to our workshops.

Our workshops: The Building Better Relationships courses offer a range of simple yet effective tools for dealing with life’s difficult situations. Focused on providing opportunities to try out and experience these tools in a safe environment, the workshops are based on short, practical exercises (no long lectures or slide presentations).
Previous participants have found these tools helpful in all aspects of their lives: home & work, personal & professional.

Our workshops are not designed as anger management training per se, but instead offer simple tools to get better results from difficult situations which might otherwise not be resolved well.

Venues: AVP Scotland are running workshops in Glasgow, Edinburgh and North Lanarkshire in 2017 – drop us an email and we’ll keep you up to date with all the latest news.
